Access Control Systems at Omega Metrology
At Omega Metrology, robust access control measures are implemented to ensure the safety, security, and integrity of our manufacturing operations. Our access control system is aligned with AEO requirements, safeguarding sensitive areas, inventory, personnel, and proprietary technology from unauthorized access or tampering.
The facility is secured through a multi-layered electronic access control system, which includes RFID-based entry cards issued to authorized personnel only. These cards are mapped to individual roles, ensuring that employees can only access areas relevant to their job functions (e.g., R&D, production, QC, dispatch, or administrative offices).
Biometric authentication (fingerprint scanners) is installed at key entry points such as the main plant entrance, server rooms, and raw material storage. Visitors and contractors are restricted to specific zones and must sign in at the security desk, where their IDs are verified and temporary access badges are issued.
All access points are monitored via CCTV surveillance, with footage retained for a minimum of 90 days for audit and compliance purposes. Alarms and alerts are triggered in case of unauthorized entry attempts or forced access.
Additionally, we conduct regular audits of access logs and surveillance data, and access rights are reviewed quarterly or immediately upon employee role changes or terminations.
Omega Metrology has also established clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for physical security, employee movement, and visitor management. Staff receive training on security protocols as part of onboarding and annual compliance programs.
These measures collectively ensure that our facility remains compliant with AEO standards, protecting our operations against theft, sabotage, and other security risks across the supply chain.
